Did you know, the Impact Investment Summit will now be taking place in less than a month?
We’re really looking forward to bringing the band back together (i.e. the community!), and are thrilled to have global leaders joining us from around the world.
We’ll have another leader – closer to home – at the Summit. I’m delighted to let you know that The Hon Mike Baird MP, Premier of NSW will be opening the festivities on Wednesday 26 October over our caffeine hits.
I’m personally hoping for a selfie…
Last week, I spent some time getting to know Wolfgang Hafenmayer, who is one of our global keynotes. Wolfgang is Managing Director, Challenger73 and The FutureMakers.
Perhaps most notably, he founded LGT Venture Philanthropy (LGT VP) for the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, a $100m impact investment fund. Wolfgang managed a team of 30 investment managers and impact investing advisors on five continents. By the end of 2014 around 5.2 million people had benefited from approximately 40 portfolio companies of LGT VP.
Wolfgang will be headlining the session “How to get deals done,” focusing on venture capital and private equity. He will also be co-presenting the workshop “Impact Investing through all asset classes – 100% impact” with our own Danny Almagor, CEO of Small Giants and founder of Impact Investment Group.
Yours in impact
From our team
